Backyard Mixes

$12.00

Backyard mixes are a fun way to add color and personality to your backyard hobby! These eggs will come from my general population mixed flocks that are just fun chickens that I think are pretty and enjoy their addition to my flock. These two, mixed flocks enjoy a large, enclosed run and freedom to be friends with whomever they choose. This group is full of sweet-tempered birds that get along well with each other and enjoy a life of freedom and retirement from showing.

The roosters in these two pens are a mix of bantams that include a buff Brahma, a white d’Anvers, a bantam Black Copper Marans, a black Satin, a white (barred) Wyandotte, and an Olandsk Dwarf. This year I have added one large-fowl rooster (surprise, he wasn’t a pullet!!) that is an F1 Olive Egger (parents were wheaten Marans and wheaten Ameraucanas). Hammy is a beautiful boy and will add a fun surprise to the egg colors that his offspring might lay!

The bantam hens include one mille fluer d’Uccles, a blue Cochin, a black Cochin, a white Wyandotte, two blue silkie mixes, a cuckoo Wyandotte/Marans mix, and one Olandsk Dwarf hen.

The large fowl hens include one blue-laced red Wyandotte, one gold laced Wyandotte, one chocolate Orpington, one mauve Orpington, one black Langshan, one blue frizzle Marans, one black Marans, one Russian Orloff, one blue Ameraucana, one splash Ameraucana, one black Ameraucana, one brown red Ameraucana, one F1 Olive Egger (black with feathered legs), and one mottled hen (not sure of breed as she came in a mix from Green Fire Farms),

You may order a mix of large eggs and bantam eggs, OR all large fowl eggs, OR all bantam sized eggs—just include your request in the comments for the order.

Price is for 12 eggs, and do NOT include shipping. I cannot guarantee the success of the eggs once they leave my home and ship to you. I do my VERY best to ship them in the most successful way possible to ensure the air cells remain intact, but shipping is very VERY hard on fertile eggs. If you are not comfortable with this risk, please do not purchase.
